Pure Dental Spa is expanding!

Look no further than the Chicago Riverwalk if you’re looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon or evening in Chicago. There are many different activities, attractions, and dining choices available to visitors on the 1.25-mile-long Riverwalk, which is situated downtown on the south bank of the Chicago River.

The Riverwalk is a must-see location in the Windy City because of its breathtaking city views, charming architecture, and variety of amenities. Here is a guide to some of the highlights that make the Riverwalk a special and enjoyable experience, whether you are a local of Chicago or a visitor.

Start at the Marina Plaza and Jetty

Any adventure along the Riverwalk can be started at the Jetty and Marina Plaza. You can rent kayaks or stand-up paddleboards at the Jetty and experience the river from a different angle. You can unwind on the riverside benches at the Marina Plaza, which is to the west of the Jetty, and observe the passing boats and water taxis.

Get Something to Eat

The variety of dining options is one of the Chicago Riverwalk’s distinctive features among the assortment of activities and events. There is something for everyone, including upscale dining, fast food, and casual cafes. Many businesses on the Riverwalk also have outdoor patios for patrons who want to enjoy the weather and ambiance. For wine tastings, seafood and steakhouse options at Nico Osteria, or tacos at Frontera Grill, visit City Winery.

Enjoy the displays of public art

A few public art installations can be found on the Riverwalk, including “all rivers flow to the sea” by artist Andrea Polli. This illuminated piece was inspired by the river, and as it ages, the colors change, tying it to the river’s current. Another well-known piece is “Solarise,” a colorful, kinetic sculpture by Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero of Luftwerk that responds to its surroundings to reflect time.

At the River Theater, unwind

The River Theater, a small amphitheater on the Chicago Riverwalk, provides a cozy setting for live performances, events, and movie screenings. When watching a movie, listening to music, or enjoying a comedy show with family and friends during the summer, remember to pack a blanket or folding chair.

Learn more about the Riverwalk Art Gallery.

The Riverwalk Art Gallery, which is run by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, is a fantastic location to see local artists’ works and perhaps even buy them. It has year-round rotating exhibits of works by painters, sculptors, photographers, and installations. It’s the best way to learn about the local art scene in the city, in addition to the beautiful scenery and incredible craftsmanship.

Discover Chicago’s Architecture

Finally, if you want to see some of the city’s famous buildings, head to the Chicago Riverwalk. Discover the city’s past while listening to the stories of local experts on architecture by taking a riverboat tour. You can see Chicago’s skyline on display all along the Riverwalk, including at the Marina Plaza, where you can get a close-up look at the Trump Tower’s recognizable spire.

The Chicago Riverwalk has something to offer everyone, from leisurely strolls and breathtaking views to action-packed pursuits like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. It’s a distinctive and exciting way to discover downtown Chicago and make priceless memories. Come down for an afternoon or evening to enjoy the breathtaking sights and nonstop entertainment.
